Thiruvalla:Cooperative Minister V.N. said that a comprehensive law amendment will be introduced in the Legislative Assembly to make the cooperative sector flawless. Vasavan said. The amendment of the law is meant to solve the existing problems in the cooperative sector. For this, the suggestions and comments of the employees and the partner community will be accepted. The co-operative sector should be trained to use modern technology and be able to advance banking activities. The minister said that the employees and the members of the governing body should have technical understanding for this.

Efforts to undermine the cooperative sector will continue to be fought against. Co-operative sector came forward to help the farmers during the process of privatization and mergers. A widespread campaign is currently underway to generalize isolated irregularities in the cooperative sector. IT integration preparations are underway to bring all teams together to prevent irregularities. Strict action will be taken in case of unjustifiable misconduct on the part of the employees. The minister also said that a cumulative fund of Rs 500 crore has been formed to help the cooperatives in case of crisis in future. Health Minister Veena George, who delivered the keynote speech, said that the cooperative sector can create more opportunities in various fields, including in the field of medical education. The minister said that isolated problems should not be generalized to affect the cooperative sector and those working in it.
