Bhiwani. A joint team of Hisar and Bhiwani vigilance has arrested a middleman woman councilor husband red-handed while taking three lakh rupees in the name of saving a Bhiwani youth trapped in the case of NDPS Act. At the behest of posted head constable Rajeev, the accused was caught red-handed near Pawan tea-stall on Hisar-Rajgarh road while taking a bribe of Rs.3 lakh from the youth’s brother.
The police have also recovered 600 powdered notes of Rs 500 each from the accused. At the same time, he was presented in Bhiwani Court on Sunday, from where the accused has been sent to jail. Bhiwani Vigilance has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act against the accused head constable Rajeev and the middleman who took the bribe amount, Jaiveer Dhaka. The head constable of CIA Pratham is still out of police custody.
Incharge Inspector of Bhiwani Vigilance Kulwant Singh said that Ashok Kumar, a resident of village Chandgothi in Churu district of Rajasthan, had given a complaint to Bhiwani Vigilance. He told that Bhiwani CIA I had arrested a person named Subhash in the case of NDPS. In this case, his brother Rajesh was falsely implicated by the CIA.
In the name of being soft on his brother Rajesh and loosening the case, head constable Rajeev, posted in Bhiwani CIA I, had demanded a bribe of six lakh rupees. On this, Rajiv introduced Ashok Kumar to Jaibir Dhaka, a resident of Rajgarh, Rajasthan. Jaibir Dhaka and HC Rajiv had a nexus since a long time.
Both the accused struck a deal with Ashok Kumar for Rs 3 lakh in the name of saving his brother Rajesh in the NDPS case and being soft with him. After which, on the information of Ashok Kumar, the Bhiwani Vigilance team jointly with Hisar Vigilance under the leadership of Duty Magistrate Bhiwani Depot’s Roadways General Manager Dr. Netrapal Khatri arrested middleman Jaibir Dhaka at Pawan Tea Stall on Hisar-Rajgarh road for bribing Ashok Kumar. Caught red handed while taking three lakh rupees.
Police also recovered 600 powdered notes of Rs 500 each from the accused. During preliminary inquiry, it was revealed that the accused Jaibir Dhaka does agriculture work in Rajasthan only. His wife Bala Devi is a woman corporator from ward number two of Rajgarh.
The nexus between the accused Jaibir Dhaka and HC Rajeev has also come to the fore for a long time. The team included Bhiwani Vigilance Team Incharge Inspector Kulwant Singh, Duty Magistrate Roadways Depot General Manager Dr. Netrapal Khatri, Roadways Clerk Jaikishan, HC Sameer, HC Parmanand, HC Sukhbindra, HC Pradeep, HC Narendra.
Vigilance Team Incharge Inspector Kulwant Singh said that we had received a complaint from Ashok Kumar, a resident of village Chandgothi in Churu district of Rajasthan. In which he told that his brother Rajesh has been implicated in a false case of NDPS. Six lakh bribe has been sought in the name of getting his name out and being soft with him in the CIA, the deal was fixed for three lakhs. Along with the complainant, the accused middleman Jaibir Dhaka has been caught red-handed with a bribe of three lakhs. He was produced in the Bhiwani Court, from where he has been sent to jail. And the head constable of CIA I, Rajeev is still absconding. Vigilance has also registered a case against him. He will be arrested soon.
Duty Magistrate and Roadways Depot General Manager Dr. Netrapal Khatri said that the district administration had appointed me as Duty Magistrate. The accused was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of three lakh rupees outside a tea stall on the Hisar-Rajgarh road in Rajasthan. He is a middleman, while head constable Rajeev, the main accused of demanding bribe, is still absconding. Action has been taken against both of them by registering a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
